UK Music Search
Record Scout is now launching its global search for ten bands to promote. The bands/artists
must be unsigned. The bands/artists must be from the UK. The bands/artists must
be ready to be signed.
So what's it all about?
With over 1000 bands signed up (as of 1st March 2006) to Record Scout and
growing daily Record Scout is now looking for 10 unsigned acts to help promote.
We will be sending their CDs/ portfolio to all the major labels we are in
contact with and promoting on our website.
How do I get included in the 10?
The top 10 acts unsigned chosen from Record Scout will be reviewed and rated
by Record Scout. You need to be signed-up to the site (it is free).

Once you are signed-up send in your material and wait.
It will get reviewed by Record Scout and once we set our date the
top 10 will be contacted.
The top 10 on Record Scout is just as things currently stand. Each time we
review material then this may change.
We rate material on the following categories:
- Material
- Production
- Originality
- Packaging/Artwork
- Overall
We will also take a look at the page you have created on Record Scout. If you
haven't put any effort into this then you are obviously not too bothered about
self promotion. We want the acts we end up promoting to want this to work for
themselves as much as we do.
The standard of some of the material is very high so if you send in a CD with
your name scribbled on the cover you may not make the top 10 because of this. We
have to mark in this way because if you want it you will make it happen!
If you have not sent in your material then do so now. Remember. All styles go
and good luck.
We do not have any dates yet, but when we do we will let you know. We are
working with the record labels and industry press to finalise the details.
