The Gastroenterology Teaching Project (GTP)
(formerly Undergraduate Teaching Project and Clinical Teaching Project)
is a continuing educational resource directed since 1975 by the Education
Committee of the American Gastroenterological Association. For almost
30 years, this project has provided gastroenterologists, hepatologists,
basic scientists and others with sets of images that are developed
by experts in their respective fields. To facilitate teaching of frequently
complex concepts and processes these units, that address common gastrointestinal
and liver diseases, integrate basic science and clinical medicine
in a format that intersperses stunning artwork with actual clinical
images. These authoritative images can be used to teach medical students,
house officers, subspecialty fellows, primary care physicians and
other healthcare professionals.
