Project Administrator requires the installation of a version of Microsoft Access 97 or later. If the organisation has a runtime copy, this can be used to enable the software to run.
Disk space required is initially 5 mb. This will grow as additional data is added.
The database is stored in a separate file which can be held on a server. The database is an Access database. The product is shipped with two databases. The first is a blank database which can be used as the production database. The second is an example database which has some sample data. This can be used as a training aid to understand how the program can be used.
The main application (an Access .mde file) can be stored on a server, or individual PC's.
The application has an interface to Microsoft Project. It uses information from MS Project combined with information from PA for reporting and analysis. Microsoft Project 98 or later is required. If Microsoft Project is not present, it means one part of the system cannot be used. You can still set up projects and phases, track benefits and issues, manage documents and action items etc.
