Security is handled at various levels within Project Administrator. When you purchase a license for a number of users, you are buying a number of discreet logons. Each logon has a separate profile. One logon can be used by several people concurrently provided they all use the same password. In fact, use of a password is not mandatory. It can be left blank.
Each user (or logon) has to be given access to individual projects. There is a System Administrator logon (which is not counted when buying a license for a particular number of users) who is responsible for managing the access to each project. For example, if there are three projects, one logon may be assisgned authority to look at 1, 2 and 3. Another may only be authrosed to look at 1 and 3.
This also applies at Program, and the All Projects, level of viewing. If for example, a particular logon can only look at two of the three projects in a program, by selecting the program, they will still only see combined figures for two of the three projects.

Each logon is also given access to update, read only, or not be able to view each screen. For example, a user may not be able to view the expenditure screen but can view (without updating) the budget screen. All these security levels are controlled by the System Administrator.
The user levels are firstly controlled by assigning a profile to the logon. The System Administrator will set us some standard profiles. Individual logons can be given additional access by the System Administrator over and above their profile.
