Movie Review - The Sentinel

When Secret Service agent Pete Garrison is wrongly suspected of plotting to assassinate the President, he faces a desperate race against time to prove his innocence.  An all-star cast does little to save this so-so thriller which gives Michael Douglas, Keifer Sutherland and Kim Basinger very little to work with.

Movie Review - Miami Vice

Undercover cops Crockett and Tubbs return in Michael Mann's feature film version of the culturally influential '80s television series. However, as Clint Morris explains, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx will only leave you wishing for Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. They may  have the muscles, cool facial hair and wicked clothes, but they’re not acting – they’re not even trying. Read More.

Movie Review - Hoodwinked

Little Red Riding Hood is a classic Brothers Grimm story but there's more to every tale than meets the eye. Before you judge a book by it's cover, you've got to flip through the pages. In the retelling of this classic fable, the story begins at the end of the tale and winds its way back. Is it the next Shrek or just another cheap imitation? Find out here.

Movie Review - Footy Legends

Luc Vu (Anh Do), a die-hard sports fan, spends his days looking for work in Sydney's western suburbs. When Luc receives notice that his little sister Anne is about to be taken into foster care following their mother's death, he calls on his high school mates to lend him a hand. It's not terrible, but as Mark Bennett explains, the Do Brothers certainly arn't in the leauge of Working Dog or Tony Martin.

Former Speed couple Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock team up yet again for this fantasy-rom-drama in which the two communicate via a mysterious magical letterbox. Movie Preview - Snakes on a Plane

Between incredulous cries of "You must be sh*tting me!!" and uncontrollable laughter, this film is indeed about a couple of hundred snakes who get loose on a plane, followed by Samuel L. Jackson screaming at the reptiles in a way that would make a sailor blush. The film is looking at a late August release, and is expected to attract plenty of attention in the lead up.

Movie Preview - Nacho Libre

The director of Napoleon Dynamite and the writer of School of Rock join forces for this spandex-laden, Priest-turned-Wrestler, gut-bustingly funny flick. Sean Lynch takes a sneak peak at this latest cult hit before it arrives in Australia - and has already pulled in over $50 million in the US alone. Could this be Jack Black as his most hilarious? You better believe it! Check out the trailer here.

Movie Review - Superman Returns

Clint Morris takes an exclusive first look at the eagerly awaited Superman Returns. Easily the most anticipated film of the last two decades; if there was pressure on Godzilla to live up to the hype in 1998, there's a G-force of warp 7 on this one to be nothing short of spectacular. Bryan Singer (X-Men) is at the helm, and only Web Wombat has one of the first reviews here, fresh from the preview screening.
