Curry County -Oregon's Siskiyou Coast

South of Port Orford. Perhaps the most well known historic site on the south coast is Battle Rock. Travelers approaching Port Orford from the south will come upon this small, offshore island as they enter town.

Boice-Cope County Park

Three miles west of Hwy 1-1 off Floras Lake Loop Road south of Langlois. Camping, RV sites, hiking, day use, as well as windsurfing and boating on the lake.

Cape Blanco Lighthouse & State Park

North of Port Orford. Cape Blanco is the most westerly lighthouse in the 48 states and the oldest and highest above sea level in Oregon. The park offers campground facilities for day and overnight use, including RV hookups.

Off Hwy 101, nine miles north of Port Orford. Features picturesque lighthouse and historic Hughes House, both open for summer tours. Park amenities include four log cabins with ocean views, 53 sites with electricity and water, and a horse camp.

Humbug Mountain State Park

Located on Hwy 101, six miles south of Port Orford. Includes a day use area and a campground on the east side of Humbug Mountain. Campsites include 35 units with electricity and water and 73 tent sites. Hot showers. Hiking trails lead to headland's 1,756-foot summit.

Ophir State Wayside Rest Area

Port Orford, OR

North of Port Orford. Similar to the Elk River, the Sixes offers superb drift boats and bank fishing for fall Chinook salmon, winter steelhead and trout in the upper sections. Best fishing area is four to five miles east or west of Hwy 101.

On Oceanside Bluff off Hwy 101. Overlooking Port Orford. Features day use area on former site of highly developed, active US Coast Guard Stations. Noted for spectacular coastline views and as a whale watching site. Day use only.
