To obtain SDSL, your home or business must be located reasonably close to
a telephone exchange. The closer you are to the exchange, the faster your
Internet connection will be.
A SDSL broadband connection requires a dedicated "copper pair" phone
line. It is not possible to share a phone line with a conventional
telephone. This means that unless you have an unused copper pair
running into your building, you might either need to have an additional
phone line installed or give up an existing phone line.
SDSL high-speed Internet access is not available in all regions nor is it
available at all telephone exchanges. It is available, however, in
many parts of Europe and North America.
