Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport (MSP): Approximate driving time is 20 minutes and distance is 12 miles.

Driving directions from Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport: Head east on MN-5. Then turn left onto 62W, the Crosstown Hwy. Exit to the right onto I-35W north and follow the signs to the downtown exits. Exit at 11th St and stay in the right-hand lane. The Hilton is on the corner of 11th St and Marquette Ave. Turn into the parking garage from 11th St, or turn right on Marquette Ave for valet parking.

Taxis ($16–$25) and shuttle vans ($5–$15 per person) are available for transportation between the airport and hotel. Town Car and limo service is also available for more than $36 and should be arranged 24 hours in advance. All fees subject to change without notice. Taxis are available at both the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals. For Town Car, limo, or shuttle service, travelers go to the ground transportation area one level below baggage claim.

Getting around: The hotel is located in downtown Minneapolis, with its extensive Skyway system; the elevated, seven-mile-long system of enclosed walkways connecting downtown buildings allows visitors to access a myriad of restaurants, shops, and entertainment.

Visitors can easily stay busy with all the attractions downtown. However, if they wish to visit the famed Mall of America, they can catch an express bus for less than $5 from Nicollet Mall, only one block away. Fee subject to change without notice. Taxis are another convenient transportation option for quick trips. For longer distances, rental cars are useful and are available via this Web site.

    DINING
Harmony's - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in this casual, 250-seat bistro restaurant in the lobby. Its musical name is a reference to neighboring Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra.

Crystal Terrace Lounge - Upholstered seating and a large-screen TV make this casual bar area a comfy gathering spot. Appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts are on the menu, and the bar selection includes several single-malt scotches.

    AMENITIES & SERVICES
What to expect: The beautiful two-story lobby—with its life-size string trio sculpted in bronze (a nod to neighboring Orchestra Hall), four 10-foot chandeliers, and gleaming dark woods—is rarely quiet. Expect the buzz of business during the week and plenty of tuxedos and gowns on weekends as event-goers head to the Grand Ballroom on the third floor.

Amenity highlights: What isn't available on-site (and plenty is) is available elsewhere in downtown Minneapolis, which guests can access through the city's 60-block climate-controlled skyway system. Harmony Restaurant, the Crystal Terrace Lounge, an indoor pool and fitness center, a full-service business center, and 46,000 square feet of meeting space are on the first three floors, with guestrooms above.

Insider tip: Hilton guests are just 5 blocks from the Loring Greenway path to Loring Park, the "mini" Central Park of Minneapolis. The pond and perennial gardens are worth a tour, and a footbridge provides access to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, where visitors can see for themselves the Spoonbridge and Cherry artwork they see on all the postcards.

An indoor pool, spa, sauna, and fitness center serve relaxation needs, while the Hilton-owned business center and 46,000 square feet of meeting space cater to event needs. One thousand parking spaces are available in the city-owned garage beneath the hotel. Guests can check out through room TVs or telephones, and the lobby desk offers as many as nine stations for busy times. In-room massages are available from a nearby spa.
