Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a PPC Search Engine account before I sign up with BidHero?

Yep, you sure do. You'll need an account for each PPC search engine you want BidHero to manage. To date, BidHero supports Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing or YSM (Overture) PPC systems.

Does BidHero Require ClickTracks?

Yes, it does. BidHero's primary value is in the integration of web analytics data in bid management. To use BidHero, you will need to have a ClickTracks Pro Hosted account, or a license to ClickTracks Pro Software or ClickTracks JDC.

I already have lots of keywords and ads in Google and YSM (Overture). Will I have to retype all that stuff in BidHero?

Nope. BidHero can import all your existing ads.

Can I do bid jamming and anti-bid jamming with BidHero?

BidHero allows you to select your desired location and will automatically place a bid 1 cent above the next highest position. Thus, it is effectively performing an anti-bid jamming procedure each time it does a bid check. It does not perform a bid jamming function to force the next highest position to bid more than they currently are.

Can I manage my ad creative content through BidHero, or just the bids?

You can manage the content of your ads themselves through BidHero, not just the bids on those ads. Most other bid management programs only allow you to manage the bids. If you want to manage the content you have to login to the search engine manager and change it there. So BidHero provides a single location to manage all your campaigns.

Does BidHero manage my bids and my billing? Will I still pay Google/YSM (Overture) for my clicks?

BidHero manages your bids, but not your billing—you'll still be paying your Google/Overture account directly. Think about it this way—BidHero helps you keep your bills in check, but he doesn't pay them for you.

Which PPC Search Engines does BidHero support?

BidHero supports all Google AdWords campaigns and US-based YSM (Yahoo! Search Marketing, formerly known as Overture) campaigns. Support for more PPC search engines is in development.

How much does BidHero cost?

BidHero starts at just $69 per month for up to 1000 daily bid checks. Look here for complete pricing information.

What's a bid check?

Bid Checks = (Key Words x Daily Reviews). A bid check is the product of your PPC keyword count multiplied by the number of daily reviews. For example, if your PPC keyword count is 600, and you set BidHero to adjust your bids three times per day (600 x 3), you would have a bid check count of 1800. Since this keeps your bid checks under 3000, but over 1000, your monthly billing would be $119.

How will I be billed?

Monthly, to your credit card. The monthly amount depends on the highest number of daily bid-checks you used on any day of the month.

What happens if I cancel my BidHero account?

If you cancel your BidHero account, we'll bill you for the ads and bid-checks you've accumulated during that billing cycle at the end of the billing period. Your BidHero account will be inactive; however, your PPC search engine accounts remain populated any ads you managed/created in BidHero.

Is there a limit as to how many keywords I can track?

Nope! Track as many as your budget allows.

I have a Google AdWords in a non-English language. Will BidHero be able to manage my Google AdWords?

Oui Oui! The BidHero user interface is in English, but it can manipulate keywords and ads in any language.

How often will BidHero check and adjust my bids?

Up to 24 times each day.
