Coastal locations, and contain:
- current weather report and a forecast for six hours
time
- maximum temperature in degrees Celsius
- mean wind speed in knots
- mean wind direction in degrees
- likelihood of rainfall
- visibility

To receive a one-off forecast at any time of day, create
a text message, type MC plus the name of your preferred
inshore location. Send to 83141.
To subscribe to a daily forecast insert the word SUB
(e.g. MC SUB CROMER). Send to 83141. You will
receive a message by 9 a.m.

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) links your mobile phone with
the worldwide web, enabling you to access forecasts that are available
on the internet, via your mobile phone.

Each Marinecall WAP forecast contains a detailed 6-hour
text forecast for your preferred Inshore
Coastal location. Each of the hourly
summaries includes:
- maximum temperature in degrees Celsius
- mean wind speed measured in knots and Beaufort force
- maximum gusts in knots
- mean wind direction
- visibility percentage chance of precipitation
This is folowed by:
- Met Office Inshore Waters forecast for your chosen area
covering 12 hours and 24 hours ahead.
- Met Office Shipping forecast out to 24 hours and inclusive
of the General Synopsis.

Multi Media Messaging (MMS), is very similar to SMS - it provides
automatic and immediate delivery of Marinecall forecasts direct
to your mobile phone. However, unlike SMS, where text is limited,
MMS allows you to receive a much longer forecast whilst you are
on the move. MMS messages can also contain images, logos and sound
clips.

Marinecall SMS is charged at 25p per message, Marinecall WAP
forecasts are charged at 75p per message, Marinecall MMS forecasts
are charged at £1 per message. Marinecall by subscription
is charged in batches of six messages. Charges will appear
on your mobile telephone bill. Subject to standard network
operator text charges. Available to all mobile networks. If
the data used to power Marinecall mobile are subject to delay,
your message will be supplied with the latest update as soon
as available.
To cancel a Marinecall SMS subscription, text MC SUB
CANCEL to 83141. To cancel a Marinecall WAP or
MMS subscription, text MC WAP CANCEL or MC MMS
CANCEL to 83141.
