  • Click Fraud Report - ClickTracks Pro Click Fraud report pinpoints pay-per-click campaigns with statistically significant variances from other campaigns, whether they're the result of click fraud or just a poorly-performing ad that's eating up budget.
  • Integrated Keyword Ranking Data in Search Report - See the search engine ranking position for each keyword that brought visitor traffic to the site.
  • Robot Simulation View - With a click of a checkbox, the Browser View of the Navigation Report can be switched into Robot Simulation Mode, where each page is displayed just as the search engine robots see it.
  • Search Engine Pivot - The Search Report can now be pivoted so the user can see all the metrics for a given search engine in one view.
  • Multiple Funnels - Users can now create an unlimited number of funnel scenarios in ClickTracks.
  • Automated Campaign Manager with API - Users can simply enter Google or Yahoo! PPC login information, and campaign data will be imported into ClickTracks automatically. The option to import a Google or Yahoo! or any custom CSV file remains.
  • Enhanced Group Management - Users can now belong to multiple groups in the ClickTracks Pro Processor Reporting Engine. Administrators may manage access permission for specific datasets and reports at the group level.
  • LDAP Integration - Access to the ClickTracks Pro Processor Reporting Engine can now be synchronized with other network logins through LDAP integration. This means that each user can access ClickTracks using the LDAP login ID and password he or she uses across the enterprise.
  • Scheduled Emails by User Group - Rather than sending email reports to individual users, ClickTracks may now send reports to an entire group. Reports may be sent daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Multiple CPU support - ClickTracks Pro Processor will now take advantage of each CPU in a multi-processor server.
  • Set Processing Priority Level - ClickTracks Pro Processor can be set to run at a specific task priority level so it can play well with other applications on the same system
  • Page Views in Search Report - The Search Report provides two new metrics, page views and average page views per visitor.
  • Blue tables in Excel Export - In ClickTracks 6.1, all of the tabular data in the blue tables (for week by day, for example) can be exported to Excel.

6.0 (major release)

  • Site Archiving – New feature applies to Professional only. Automatically archives and stores complete versions of the website at specified point in time for future analysis against historical data. Enables other key features such as Time Splits.
  • User Management – Administrator can set up users and groups of users to have access to datasets or specific reports through a simple web-based interface.
  • Browser-Based Reporting – New feature applies to Professional only. Allows end users to view pre-analyzed reports based on a variety of timeframes through a web-browser or through the Pro Client. When Pro Client is used, the user has the option to view the “Instant Reports” or pull the entire dataset to do “Custom Analysis”. Access to datasets can established through user permissions settings.
  • Scheduled Emailing – New feature applies to Professional. Administrator can schedule automatic emailing of reports to users.
  • A/B Splits – New feature applies to Professional. Allows user to view two different versions of a website in the Navigation Report Browser simultaneously with corresponding statistics applied to each version. Uses cookies or parameters to distinguish different versions.
  • Time Splits – New feature applies to Professional product. Utilizes the Site Archiver feature to allow the user to view two separate versions of the website in the Navigation Report browser simultaneously with corresponding statistics applied to each version. Different versions are based on changes in the site over time, with the older version coming from an archived version of the website.
  • Page-Level Keywords – New feature available to Optimizer and Professional. In the Page Analysis section of the Navigation Report the user can now see the specific keywords that visitors who entered at a given page searched on.
  • Boolean logic for labels – New feature available to Optimizer and Professional. A more intuitive method of joining labels together with logical joiners AND and OR. Existing labels can be joined together more simply with this method.
  • Label export and import – New feature available to Optimizer and Professional. A batch of labels can be exported to a file for later use on the computer or sharing with others. Exported sets of labels can be imported into a dataset with the click of a button. 
  • Parameter masking by value – Advanced feature available only on Professional. Parameter masking can be more finely adjusted so that just the most frequently occurring values of a given parameter are unmasked while the less frequently values are masked.
  • Synchronize during server analysis – Advanced feature available on Professional. Previously a Pro Client could not synchronize with the Pro Server when it was analyzing data. Now the client can synchronize at any time.
  • Importing total cost campaigns – Available on Optimizer and Professional. Previously a user could only import campaigns in the “Other” category if they were pay-per-click type. Now users can import either PPC or total-cost campaigns.
  • Thumbnail and page titles – New feature available to all versions of the program. Wherever a link to the site is found in any of the reports, holding the mouse pointer over the link will display a thumbnail size image of the page to allow for intuitive navigation through the application. Page titles can also be displayed.
  • Internal Search Report – New feature available to all versions. A part of the Site Overview, this report displays all the requests for a given parameter or cookie in order of frequency. The default name is “Internal Search Report” because a common use will be to measure the number of searches on an internal search form, but the report can be given any name and track any parameter or cookie.
  • Total Page views – New feature available in all versions. An options setting that allows the user to specify whether he or she wants to see average page views per visitor or total page views in the Site Overview Report.
  • Facelift to UI – The entire interface has been spiffed up in various ways.

5.6.0 (minor release)

  • 1st party cookies - (relevant to Hosted customers) Hosted customers can now optionally specify 1st party session cookie tracking.
  • Exit stats - (relevant to Hosted customers) This allows the users to see the number/percentage of people who clicked on links to external websites, (i.e. domains outside of their dataset).
  • Hosted Dataset - (relevant to Agencies) In the Pro Server in the File menu there is now a Hosted Dataset right under JDC dataset. This is for use primarily with the Agency Program.
  • Secure FTP - (relevant to everyone) Retrieving log files and mirroring data can be done by SFTP now. You can also specify the port number if it isn't done on the standard 21 (non-secure) or 22 (secure).
  • AutoSynchronize from Command Line - (relevant to hosted customers and power users) We can now automatically synchronize both hosted and pro client datasets from the command line. This is not part of the UI, but there is documentation on it in the manual.
  • Fixed bug that resulted in an ClickTracks_config.xml file when mirroring data from the Pro Server.
  • Fixed bug that caused a crash when manually specified log file format in the Pro Server.
  • Viewer application can now tell whether a dataset was generated via JavaScript or log files and display the Robot Report accordingly.
  • Fixed bug associated with features going back to earlier versions after support contract expired.

5.2.2 (point release)

  • Campaign manager now handles newer Google AdWords formats, no longer overwrites its own CSV file, and contains a groovy new feature to extract better campaign descriptions from the CSV file. So, instead of getting blank entries in the campaign description you now are more likely to get something meaningful.
  • There's also a feature to populate campaign listings with a parameter value from the URL itself. For example, if you were putting kw=concrete+carrots into your landing pages (the value of kw is expanded, not a macro in this case) you can specify kw for your description field and the contents are pulled into the list.

  • Final fix for Google AdWords format change. Simply install 5.1.10, then download the Ad Text Report in TSV format. Import into ClickTracks. No edits to the TSV file are necessary now.

    The old csv format will no longer be supported, so you will need to generate new TSV reports for your historic data.
