Well, it's been a very long summer with lots of changes in my life.  I know that I promised to update this more frequently and here it is three months since the last one.  I guess better late then never!

I have taken a part time job to help supplement my bead income.  With the economy the way it is and gas prices so high my sales have slowed considerably.  Last year I was able to completely support myself on my bead income which was marvelous!  This year, however, that isn't the case.  So, I am now an office manager for a friends business working three days a week.  My bead making time has been cut in half but then again so have my orders.

Bead wise nothing much has changed.....I'm working with lots of fun, bright colors.  I love the neutrals and organic colors which seem to be really in right now.  I'm seeing them in all the catalogs and in the stores when I have a few minutes to go shopping.  But for me I've always loved the bright bold colors and how they work with each other.  I'm trying to mix colors that you might not expect together.

I'm going to continue to try unusual colors and also keep up with the latest trends.  I spend some of my free time with clothing catalogs that I like and also run to the fashionable stores in our area to see what they are showing in color combinations each season.  If any of you have suggestions for combinations that I haven't done or you love together please let me know.  I'm always looking for that spark and sometimes my customers are the best place to get it from.  You guys are on the front lines making jewelry for both yourself and your customers.  You are at the shows and see what is new and different.  Without your inspiration I would miss out on the best part of this business!

Thanks for visiting,
Christine
