Mission

The mission of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry is to improve the oral health care of infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs. We seek to achieve this through service, training and research. Important dimensions of our program include providing a patient- friendly environment for educating patients, care-givers, dentists and primary care providers about good oral health practices. Our training programs are focused on the provision of quality educational experiences to train clinically competent dentists and develop advocates and dental leaders to address the oral health issues of children.
