Degree Concentrations
The undergraduate degree offered in WCAS through the Program in Biological Sciences (PBS) is the Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with concentrations in seven different areas including biochemistry, developmental biology, evolutionary biology, genetics and molecular biology, human biology, neurobiology, and physiology. Important strengths of the program include a particularly sophisticated introductory course and a diverse set of advanced courses based in part or in whole on primary scientific literature. There are also outstanding opportunities for undergraduate students to join a faculty member's research group and carry out independent laboratory research alongside the other graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
An interdepartmental Minor In Evolutionary Processes is offered as is a Masters in Plant Biology and Conservation.
