The Functional Brain-Gut Research Group (FBG) is an organization of professionals that supports, promotes and advances multidisciplinary research and education in the basic science, clinical and behavioral aspects of brain-gut interactions.

We are a non-profit, international, democratic group of researchers and clinicians who are opinion leaders in the functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, including dyspepsia and the irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Our official journal is Neurogastroenterology & Motility.

7th International Symposium on Functional
    Gastrointestinal Disorders

This symposium will be held April 12-15, 2007, at the Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is jointly sponsored by the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, in cooperation with the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group.  An international audience of clinicians and investigators will gather to exchange information on the latest advancements in the areas of functional gastrointestinal disorders. The symposium will offer a format of plenary sessions, interactive workshops and mini symposia on both adult and pediatric functional gastrointestinal disorders.
