2007 AMS Scientific Meeting on Diabetes and the Gut
Meeting Dates: March 1-4, 2007
Abstract Deadline: November 15, 2006
Location: Our Lucaya Resort, Grand Bahamas Island
Clinical and basic science state-of-the art presentations concerning diabetes: gut hormones, neuropathy, growth factors, gastroparesis, oxidative stress, obesity, immune dysfunction, alterations in specific gut structures and functions, metabolic syndrome, and the latest management of diabetes will be presented. Sample the traditional delights of the AMS scientific meeting with Noon poster presentations that will describe recent progress in research and oral sessions that will highlight novel advances in clinical and basic science topics.

This symposium is jointly sponsored by the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, in cooperation with the Functional Brain-Gut Research Group. An international audience of clinicians and investigators will gather to exchange information on the latest advancements in the areas of functional gastrointestinal disorders. The symposium will offer a format of plenary sessions, interactive workshops and mini symposia on both adult and pediatric functional gastrointestinal disorders.
