When a Gift Certificate is redeemed its dollar value is added to your Gift Kitty. The value of your Gift Kitty is stored with your other details in our database.
The monies in your Gift Kitty are then used against your next purchases at Magazine Subscriptions.
Your Gift Kitty balance may:
- be less than the value of your purchase -> make sure you fill out your credit card details to 'top up' your Gift Kitty
- equal the value of your purchase -> proceed with your purchase, no credit card details are required; your Gift Kitty will return to $0
- be more than the value of your purchase -> proceed with your purchase, no credit card details are required; your Gift Kitty will then show your new, reduced balance
The balance in your Gift Kitty account is shown in My Account and on the Shopping Basket and Payment Pages
Gift Kitty money MAY NOT be used to purchase a Gift Certificate. You must spend your Gift Kitty money on non-Gift Certificate items before you can purchase a Gift Certificate.
