- Flying to and from the USA
- Flying from Canada
- Flying from the United Kingdom
- Flying from India on KLM/NWA and flying to India on NWA only

KLM and NWA acting on instructions from the respective governments, wishes to advise passengers on the following Baggage restrictions:

Following items may NOT be carried on board (and must be checked in): 

• Liquids & gels (beverage, shampoo, suntan oil, creams, toothpaste, hair gel etc.)
• Cosmetics   
• Aerosols 
• Lighters                      

Following items MAY be carried on board:

• Prescribed medicines essential for the flight, (except in liquid form unless verified as authentic)
• Insulin and essential other non-prescription medicines
• For those traveling with an infant: baby food, milk and sanitary items essential for the flight
• Keys (but no electrical fobs)                                                

Cabin baggage

• For passengers flying from the UK, cabin baggage is limited to one piece no bigger than 16 cm by 35 cm by 45 cm (a handbag or small laptop bag)
• For passengers flying from Amsterdam to any UK destination and transferring to any destination, cabin baggage is limited also to one piece no bigger than 16 cm by 35 cm by 45 cm

On board of most intercontinental KLM flights you can still purchase taxfree goods. But when you have a connecting flight to any of the above mentioned destinations, please keep these baggage restrictions in mind.  

At Schiphol airport passengers travelling to the United States and passengers travelling on U.S.A. airlines may again buy perfume, liquor and other liquids in the designated shops in the See Buy Fly Shopping Centre in Lounge 2 and 3 for up to 90 minutes before departure time. Their purchases will be handed over to them after the security check at the gate. However this doesnot apply for passsengers with a connecting flight in the U.S.A.  

KLM and NWA encourage customers to allow additional time before their flight. 
Customers travelling are encouraged to arrive at the airport three hours prior to departure.
Customers should also expect to be asked to remove shoes at security checkpoints. 

Customer not complying with the above can not be accepted for travel on KLM and NWA flights.
