Quinta do Rei lies off-the-beaten-track between Estoí and Moncarapacho. It is a large, well equipped, modern villa with huge pool which is ideal for families up to 8 pers - and you can even bring the dog ! Close to the charming village of Estoí, you can explore the Roman ruins at Milreu and the Estoí's 'Pink Palace'. To the north, you have São Brás and the hills, and just 20 minutes drive to the south, the coastal towns of Fuzeta and Olhão and Faro, with access to their fabulous, long, white sand beaches. A great location for a family get-away !
The south-east part of Portugal is still a very quiet and rural area. Most of the tourists stay in hotels in Albufeira and Quarteira. Quinta do Rei is very close to the village of Estoi: a picturesque place with Roman Ruins and an old palace. The Airport of Faro is only 20 minutes away by car. The IP 1, the highway to Spain, can be reached by car within 5 minutes. Olhao, a typical Moorish town on the coast and just a 15 minutes drive, offers a variety of good local restaurants where you can enjoy wonderful seafood and other Portuguese dishes.Shopping for food is
easy; there are two well-assorted supermarkets in Olhao and there is of course the local food and fishmarket!
The quality of food in the restaurants is very good and prices are still low.
The Villa is also suitable for guests which are disabled.
