EXPORT-IMPORT BANK OF THE UNITED STATES
ECONOMIC IMPACT PROCEDURES

The Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank) Reauthorization Act of 2002 included amendments to the economic impact provisions of Ex-Im Bank's Charter. As a result of these amendments, Ex-Im Bank's Board of Directors adopted revisions to its economic impact procedures in November of 2002 after an extensive public notice and comment period that included consultation with Congress, other U.S. Government agencies, affected industries and the exporting community. These revisions address the recent changes to Ex-Im Bank's Charter while continuing to balance the needs of U.S. exporters who operate in a tough, competitive global marketplace that demands the rapid and efficient processing of transactions.
