Opening of the Regenstein Center

September 21, 2 – 7 p.m. Exclusive Member Opening of the Regenstein Center.

Tour the new public art galleries, courtyards and bonsai exhibit. Explore the library and rare book room. Visit the state-of-the-art design labs of the Joseph Regenstein, Jr. School of the Chicago Botanic Garden. View the stunning new exhibition, In Search of Paradise: Great Gardens of the World.

No reservations necessary.



Member Preview Hours at the Bulb Bazaar

September 29 - October 1

Members have priority admission before the sale opens, Friday, September 29,
from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The bazaar will hum with ideas, from practical tips to interactive demonstrations by Garden staff, horticulturists and volunteers.

Save the Date for HallowFest

You will receive your invitation in the Fall edition of Garden Talk.

Make your reservations to come in costume to the Garden's spookiest member event.

Set in the new Regenstein Center this year, members young and old can discover the mysterious caravan, the haunted maze, creepy crafts, and even the Creature from the Black Lagoon! Decorate a pumpkin, have your fortune told, and enjoy tempting treats.

HallowFest fills up fast, so make your reservations early. Reservations accepted after September 12.


Reindog Parade

Saturday, December 2

The ONLY day all year that you can bring your dog to the Garden.

Parade your pooch in holiday costume for great prizes.

Take photos with Santa. Buy refreshments and holiday gifts at the Pup Tent.


Wonderland Express


December 2, 2006–January 7, 2007

Take a magical trip to a winter wonderland of twinkling lights and holiday beauty

The North Gallery of the new Regenstein Center will be transformed into an English country train platform, where amid twinkling lights, garden-scale trains wind their way through more than 75 miniature versions of Chicago's favorite landmarks.

• Open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. with extended weekend hours.

• Members pay $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 2-12. Nonmembers pay $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 2-12.
