Having had Breakfast here we returned the same evening.
We were very impressed with both the service and the lovely food.
We plan to return to Dalyan and we look forward to another meal or several.

I am certain some of the comments below are not related to the 180 restaurant. When we visited it was run by an English lady and I presume it was her husband/partner doing the cooking. She was the only waitress although on one occasion a young boy served the wine. It is well worth a visit.

due to reading review on this site we went looking for 180. And I must say that it was the worst & most expensive meal that we had in Dalyan. It could be that our choice of food was not good but as it was recommended by the waiter as his mamas speciality we thought it would be delicious. It was also by far the most expensive place we went to so be warned mama cannot cook.

We love KOSEM restaurant, and especially the waiters Emruhan and Uzay, they always entertain us, they are the best this restaurant has to offer. They always make you feel welcome and they look after you in a great way!The restaurant lies near the river and you can spend a nice time there! Try it!You will not be disappointed!

This was the best restaurant in Dalyan, everything about it was really nice, the waitor Ali was a very friendly person! we came to this restaurant 5 times thats how good it was! when we return to Dalyan next year we will certainly be coming back to see you Ali!

We had lunch and an evening meal here middle of last month. Although the food was good and the staff friendly, with our evening meal, we did not get our wine which was above average price, with the main meal and had to re-order it. It also was served with no ice bucket. Disappointingly the service was not that good.

Have been going to Dalyan for 4 yrs and this is still the best overall,keep up the good work Tafi,have just returned from Dalyan and ali babba's was full everynight when a lot of the others had closed by 10 p.m

Ate here last week 10/9/06 fillet steak very dissapointing had to send it back twice as it was dripping with blood when i asked for it to be done medium to well done,showed my veggie wife who was enjoying her veggie meal until i did this.(not very tactful)
..rest of meal was good very busy & popular place to eat by both tourists & locals...

we are a family of five and have just returned from a week in dalyan. we ate at this restaurant on two evenings and would have possibly eaten here even more had it not been for finding equally excellent fare and service in other restaurants. if you want to sample great turkish hospitality where locals themselves were eating then this is the place to try. you choose the food from a refrigerated display cabinet where the owner will happily advise you about the options available. it was a great service at a really good price.

Over two holidays in Dalyan we have eaten here more than any other restaurant. Great choice of food freshly cooked and excellent & attentive service. When most restaurants were quiet last week Ali Babas was buzzing - that says it all. Keep up the good work Taffy & Ali and all the team - see you next year!

Our second favourite restaurant in dalyan and we've tried loads! Always great, traditional Turkish food, especially the meze and the best Fillet Steak I've ever tasted anywhere in the world. Taffy is always v welcoming in his own, laid back style.

We loved it, and went back seveal times over two weeks. Great for children - ours were delighted when a big box of lego was put on the table, and another night when a memory game was provided, or crayons etc etc, and their food arrived quickly which always helps too. Great food - probably the best steak and pepper sauce anywhere!

Good value for money, you pick your food fresh from the chiller and they cook fresh for you. You are not hassled in anyway, we were even given complimentry brandies after the meal; how bad is that? give it a go.

Just returned from Dalyan today been going to this restaurant mainly cos my bf is friends with the staff, havent tried it before, the staff are nice people emrah however its spelt is funny yes i can tell hes a cheeky man but doesnt matter, good restaurant food meat balls yummm and if its ur birthday then they do a good celebration :) try it ...

i thought ali's was a really good restaraunt because all the waitors welcome you really politely into the restaraunt and they keep you entertained while you are waiting for your dinner! and when i went out to turkey again this year i make 2 new friends in ali's zoro and uzay and i miss them so much, i recommend to go to ali's

hiya boys and girls, we went to dalyan on the 24th of july and came bk on the 8th aug. ALIS restaurant was amazing, and all the guys are wicked.the service was top notch and whilst waiting on your food you were fully entertained by the waiters.we spent many evenings at alis and got to no each of the waiters. on one drunken night we had a threesome with emrah and it was amazing.dont judge us u will understand if you try it.and we are coming back next year for threemonths so watch out girls, emrah will be busy.

Just back from dalyan. We ate at Alis Restaurant on one occasion but would have eaten there more often had we stayed more than a week. Alis Restaurant is in a good central location, the staff are very friendly and along with the kitchen staff extremely hard working. The evening was rounded off with some extremely energetic break dancing from some of the Alis staff. Thanks for a good evening to all at Alis.

This was the best place by far; The food was excellent everytime, the waiters are full of energy entertaining as well and serving food, and the famous fireworks late on in the evening. I went last year to Dalyan. I had dinner 5 times in Anatolia restaurant . I liked quality of food and the service.The owners are very friendly. It is possible to find diffrent tastes. I will go this summer again. It should be seen.

By far the worse meal and service we have EVER had, the pasta was a joke,serviced floating in greasey water(should have been a cheese sauce!)Owners Ok until there is a problem,real Jekyl & Hyde!! Waiters moody, I am not surprised with boses like them. If the place had of been busy I could except the poor service, there was only another couple waiting & waiting for their food. Give this place a wide birth vistit the STARFISH for excellent food and service.

loved the food - especially the fajitas, much different to the normal casseroles on offer in other restaurants. Staff very chatty Adem and Serkan. Loved the icecream and even more the coffees

We visited Dalyan for already 5 times and Meetingpoint "Anatolia" is for us the best place in town. The food is super, the service is great and the people overthere became our friends.Guray(the owner) promised us to speak "Perfect Englisch" next year.

To all existing and future customers, we have now moved to bigger premises 100 yards down the high street just past the school (what was the Nectar Bar).
We are lucky to have retained the same chef and his team that we have had for the last 3 years and we look forward to providing the same high standard of food and service for all our customers.
As well as tables on the ground floor both in the front and rear of the restaurant we will also be serving food and drinks upstairs and we are pleased to be able to accommodate any large parties.

Went here on our first night as it came so highly recommended. Not disappointed. Returned for a lunch time visit and the service was still excellent as was the food.. More relaxed atmosphere during the day and the staff are lovely. I can recommend the aubergine kebap and my husband said that the lasagne was the best he had ever tasted!

They were busy the night we went - we waited 15 mins for our drinks, 30 mins for the bread, and at least an hour for the main course! The maitre de was full of apologies, but how hard is it to rustle up a couple of beers and a pitta bread relatively quickly??!! By the time we got anything we were dying of thirst and hunger - that said, the sea bream was large and excellently cooked. We won't be going back though, because in a town with so many good restaurants there's no need to put up with bad service and disorganisation!

We had 2 excellent meals there last week in Aug. Mehmet is a great host for whom nothing is too much trouble. Their salt cased fish, leg of lamb & Chateau Briand is to die for ! Very hot both nights so Mehmet put a large fan beside our table - which also kept the damn mozzies away ! -and finished off with massive fruit platter and coffee/chy in the "tree house". Go !!

I visited Caretta Caretta for the first time last year (my 3rd visit to Dalyan) on the recommendation of Mehmet at Kaunus Travel. The setting is sublime & when the lights come on across the river & illuminate the Lycian tombs it becomes magical. The food like so many places in Dalyan was excellent although I did have to supply my own aci biber for my Turkish salad....get some in guys I'm coming again in late Sept 2006!
Can't wait.

After havin spent three evenings in here i offer the following comments. The service was outstanding. The food was excellent from starters through to desert. Both waiters were extremely professional in every way particularly there appearance and conduct. They looked after every detail. It is always a great relief for me to discover a good chinese especially in a perfect place like Dalyan. I would strongly recommend a meal or two here.

I thought this restaurant was really good !!
We knew the owners son Fatih, as he lived and worked at the hotel we was staying in: The Fatih Hotel, i would reccomend it to anyone.
Hope to come back again, it was really great fun !

The Denizaty is one of the best resturants i have been to. and i have been to dalyan 4 times. All of the wiaters are really cool. thank you to Fatih. for the best last night in dalyan and definatly comming back to the denizaty not 1 not 2 but laods of times. Raky the dog is really sweet. i can not wait till next year and i will have my friend emily with me. to meet you all. no matter what i am comming next year.

our friends who have visited Dalyan before have eaten here many times- with good reason. We were made so welcome by everyone, ate very well, had a laugh with the staff and a massage or two...it doesn't come much better than that! If you worry about trying new things, this is the place to go as Eray describes dishes so well and everything we tried was delicious. The home made bread is wonderful too. 'Talking' cats, impromptu dancing- what more could you ask for? Thank you to all at Gecit- the salt bass will be a memory forever!

We ate at many different places during our holiday but nothing came close to Eray's. You are always made very welcome and the food is always fresh and delicious. The waiters are very friendly without being creepy! and memhet will always make you laugh. This was our 3rd time in Dalyan and Gecit still remains our favourite restaurant.

De 2 weken Mei en 3 weken in October 2005 in Dalyan was weer als vanouds het eten bij GECIT uistekend (vooral de bediening van MEHET )wij hopen in Mei en Oktober 2006 weer aanwezig te zijn,dat word gevierd omdat wij er voor de 200 ste maal gaan eten,wij hopen de Fam:Eray Dursun en zijn staf het aller beste toe de groetjes van deze kant.

We ate here 3 times here middle of last month. Food very good and the staff very friendly. The garlic bread was the best in Dalyan and well worth going here just for that! However, on the last - our last day in Dalyan, the service was very slow and we waited ages even for a drink. My Wife had a shrimp casserole which had a lot of cheese on it making it too rich.

Even it has been taken over with diferent person ,we still like the best golden crab. They have same cook but some new dishes like Baltı Tıkka Masala or Ottoman kebap.All very good and still best restaurant for crab dishes.

Hey, this used to be one of the best restaurants in Dalyan - but it's been taken over by somebody new and now it's just awful. The really miserable staff wouldn't even tell me where the old owner the lovely Eser went. But I found out! He's at Saffron on the riverside, which is truly wonderful.

The best restaurant in Dalyan. We had something different most nights and everything was superb. Fish and seafood deliveried fresh every day ( we were usually there for coffee at 10.30am when they arrived) We tried several other (more expensive) restaurants in Dalyan but none were any where near as good as this. My favorites were the bream and the Crab Pasty ( more like a rolled pancake) but the moussakka, pizza, salads were also delicious. no pushy waiters or chat up lines but FANTASTIC food and service

hi, Yvonne, dont know about new owners, but certainley new staff who are not attentive, we sat for 10 mins and nobody came, had to go and ask for menu, when we left we had to ask waiters for the bill, who were sat at a table unconcerned, it was not as tho it was busy, with only 2 tables occupied

as residents here we were very pleased with the gunluk last year, but went last week and sadly it has gone downhill, the food is nowhere near as good as last year, frozen chips were awful, best thing we ate was the salad, and prices are going up, hope it improves

After reading the review we took the trouble to find the Gunluk restaurant and picnic area. It is just outside Dalyan on the Ortaca Road and it took us about 40 minutes to walk there. The food was indeed excellent as well as cheap and the numerous turkish people arriving in cars must have thought so too. We asked for transport to take us back and it cost approx 5TL but well worth it.

Found this place last few days of holiday last year, where the locals eat!Ring them, they pick you up, take you back, sit amongst the trees and enjoy the best food for the least amount of money I thought possible. No menu, pick your own fish from a huge display, or pick your meat, tell them how you want it and they will do it. Bread, salads just kept on coming, cheapest wine in dalyan, practicaly same as supermarket! Going back in September and will make it our first visit.

Good restaurant, with complimentary fresh baked pitta and herbs to start, plus melon and banana with honey to finish. The meat and fish are nicely cooked, although meat portions can be a little stingy! Service is courteous and friendly, and they introduced us to the Turkish practice of using pomegranate syrup instead of vinegar on salad! (try it - it's called Nar Eksili!) The down side is the mossies - we ended up like pin cushions both times we ate there, so spray thoroughly beforehand! Recommended overall.

Good news. The prices have been reduced to more typical turkish prices and now this restaurant has to be considered as one of the best of this type of restaurant in the area. I have noticed that it is getting popular with the locals, Turkish and Foreign as the place to go for a good night out. Excellent Turkish cuisine.

Went during our first week for a quiet meal when a Turkish tv company turned up with models (very famous apparently!) to film. The waiters obviously did not totally have their minds on their work and unfortunatly we were given the wrong order! However, we gave them another chance and went back the following week and the food and service was excellent! Not bad value either but you get what you pay for and the service etc. was first class

We put this place on the ratings map last year as we had such a great time there. Food is still great and the sevice second to none. They lose out to the Melodi this year for us due to the very high prices charged, especially for wine. We think 30 Lira a bottle for average house wine to be well over the top and with an average bill of 114 YTL we could only afford to eat there a few times. A shame as they are lovely people.

Wij komen al sinds 1995 elk jaar in Dalyan, de laatste jaren zelfs 2 keer per jaar. Kordon is het beste restaurant van Dalyan. Wij hebben altijd een zeer warme band gehad met Muharrem. Zijn Engels is goed en hij vind het altijd erg leuk als je langs komt, zonder aan je trekken bij de weg.
Most of all hij is dol op ons dochtertje Mayra die nu voor de derde keer is meegegaan en altijd lekker gegeten heeft hier.

i visited here over 2 years ago, they did it then to us! give it a go, just blow really hard and the egg will jump frm one egg cup to another! and the one with the cigarette, theyl run ther fingers through your hair........the cigg is behind his thumb!!!!!lol sorry guys, there impressive but not so genius!!!;>entertainment 10/10!!!!

We stopped for lunch and returned every evening after that. The service and the waiters especially Adam and Ebo, who are both lovely guys. Ask for some magic tricks, especially the egg one and try th Chicken Shish. You won't be disapponted!!!!

Discovered this little gem in our second week. Fabulous All Day Breakfast and really excellent Peppered Steak with nothing too much trouble for the staff. A very nice, relaxing place. On both my trips to Turkey I found myself always coming back to the Lazy Cafe after trying other resturants for our meals as they cooked exactly what you wanted, made any allowances they could to make our visits more comfortable for my family including endlessly entertaining my young son! Plus they are respected within the community, becuase they have respected the comunity.

The food her was very good but we had to wait for 1 HOUR for it to arrive. we have two children and they had filled themselves up on bread so wasted their meal as they were so hungry. We would have gone back but after speaking to other people service was usually very slow

This was a very nice restaurant went there twice and enjoyed it both times but the second time we went the only thing that ruined it was the cockroaches, they were crawling all up the chairs and across our legs so not such a nice meal that night! but I think they have sorted out the cockroach problem now! food was loveley would go there again when we come back next year!

I have both holidayed and traveleled on business in Turkey over many years and I can easily say that this is the worst service I have ever recieved in Turkey in 15 years! V slow, inattentive, and when questioned where our meal was, nearly 45 minutes after we ordered the response was indifferant! Woold avoid at at costs!

jt, sorry, i dont agree with you, take a walk up to the other end of dalyan, where the rock bar used to be, and you will see that there are many, turkish\foriegn run buissneses, all succsesful and all which have been around for more then 3 years, many for much longer.
So why dont they have trouble? Mostly becuase they live here as turks,they have accepted the culture, and have more turkish friends then british.
Plus they are respected within the community, becuase they have respected the comunity.

The owners had no idea about Turkey or life out here, they didnt respect or like turkish people and they even had a letter on the back of their menu telling customers not to trust turks and that all they ever do is rip you off. Well some do, but many dont, same with any country. The only people who were ripping you off was the lizzys crew, by taking away your chance of having a real turkish experience.

I had been going to Mems for two seasons running but have not been back due to the disgusting service and poor meal I got on my last visit. I had booked a table on my last night in Dalyan and had to wait at least 20 minutes to order. There was only a few tables in the restaurant and i could see he was clearly more intersted in serving his wifes friends who stay at their apartments. I waited another 40 minutes for drinks and well over an hour for a cold starter to arrive. This has to be my worst experience of a restaurant in Turkey and to top it all I got food poisoning from their Blue Crab and was off work for a full month. Will not be back to Mems

Together with our friends we ate previously at the Golden Crab the owners previous restaurant. The quality there was second to none and Safran was equally as good. We were even driven back to our hotel after the meal. Everything was spot on!!

Beautiful romantic setting - loveliest of my stay. service was excellent and I loved the food. Totally agree - has to be the best restaurant in Dalyan and has only improved since relocating from last year's site just off the market square to the riverside. Probably better for the mezze and vegetable specialities than meat, but you'd be mean to grumble about anything here. Run by a delightfully friendly family who are the epitome of Turkish hospitality and light years away from some of the pushy waiters elsewhere. If you want to experience the real Turkey you have to go here - one point though - no menu, so you have to select your meal by sight and be prepared to ask the price if necessary!

If you're fed up of waiters badgering you to come in and special menus aimed at tourists, you'll love Saki - authentic Turkish food in a friendly family-run restaurant. The mezze is outstanding - don't go without trying the courgette fritters and stuffed tomatoes. The fact the place is frequented by locals and far cheaper than all the other restaurants, while providing the best food, says it all. We ended up eating there every night - it's the best eaterie in Dalyan.

Saki is now by the river - by the rowing boat crossing. We found it to be the most authentic, well priced turkish restaurant in town. Service was excellent and when a power cut hit as we finished our meal they kindly ordered a taxi and made sure we negotiated the steps to it. Miss Saki during your stay in Dalyan at your peril.

Believe me, I do not have a "downer" on Saki's - I have reported my experiences as they were on the night and hope that they are noted by the owners. We went on recommendation from friends whose opinions are similar to yours (and still are) and are surprised how we found it. In nearly 40 years of foreign travel we have never ever left a restaurant & have rarely made a major complaint. Then again,never been ignored for so long. We hope Saki's prosper. my experience of saki is totally different from the previous review. The food has always been excellent, as has the service. Perhaps they are a little short staffed because their daughter is not yet back from university? We have always found Suleman to be charming. The fact that he wears casual clothes is fine. Went on recommendation - must have been an off day! Got drinks within 10 mins of arriving, placed order from the cabinet - I ordered a
starter and main course, my wife just a main course (Due to the limited & unappetising choice).Twenty mins later our drinks and the starter were finished and the dirty plates and empty glasses sat on the table & no waiter came near us. After total of 65 mins I asked when we could expect our meals - answer "Soon!". When I pointed out that no bread had been brought to our table I was told "Maybe I forgot". I was told that I should have called the waiter for more drinks and to have the dirty plate cleared as "How do I know that you have finished?" - what, after over 30 mins!! I was then told "We DO have other customers to serve!" - the place was not full. I suggested that he had better concentrate on them in that case - several others were also looking impatient by now. I offered to pay for the drinks and starter, was told no charge - so we left, the first time we have ever walked out of a restaurant anywhere.Some tips for Saki - please remember that it is YOUR job to serve and attend to your customers - it is not theirs to have to chase you and it is YOUR job to clear dirty plates, keep glasses filled and to put bread on the table. I suggest that you look like waiters --t-shirts,jeans & trainers are scruffy. Take a look at your competiton, most wear white shirts & dark trousers. Oh, and get rid of that awful vacuum cleaner used to clear the crumbs from the table- most unpleasant.
PS. In less than an hour after leaving Saki we had finished an excellent meal at the superb Ali Baba's, served by people who really do care about service. Take note.

This is a real gem, do not miss! With a choice of just three main dishes, too small to be used every day day. Also with a view of the taxi rank not the most picturesque restaurant you will find but do not miss it for you can not but fall for the charm of this family establishment. This place was average for service the only facinating thing was ginger waiters who just danced and turned the music up so loud it offended everybody at our table and other restaurants in the area including those in bodrum. I felt it quite dangerous when one waiter handed a young boy a firework (still burning) after he had had it in his mouth. The fireworks were dangerous and the staff seemed to enjoy putting people at risk. we will not eat her again unless we are supplied with ear protectors and fire hoses

Very good restaurant, all the more because it's bang in the main square and therefore passing trade would enable them to drop standards and still survive. But they haven't - it's friendly, efficient, and the food is great - what's more it's not expensive, even by Dalyan standards - top place, highly recommended.

This restaurant is fantastic. Myself and my fiance Andy went on holiday with our friends and their two kids Cian and Niamh (you may remember them Murat!). It was the first restuarant we ate at on our first visit to Dalyan and it did not disappoint. All the staff are very friendly and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. Especially wonderful with the little ones, even supervising them while you enjoy your meal. Hope to be back next year!

Great food, excellent prices. Ate here 6 times in total, breakfast and dinner. Great service although one night they were packed out and the food was a little cold. They more than made up for it with free drinks. Ask the staff to demonstrate turkish dancing - fascinating to watch!!

we have just returned from dalyan. have been3 times so far. this is by far the best restaurant in dalyan if you want traditional turkish food. service excellent. nice ambiance in a cosy little 'garden' type setting with trees for a roof. if you want the egg and chips type food you wont find it here. really good value for money. unable to fault it.

Tried this restaurant..wished we hadn't. Service awful, the guy serving was more interested in the passing women to pay any attention to my wife who's hand was outstretched to receive the menu. Ordered the duck as others had said it was good. He told me there was enough for two, but that would only be true if two field mice were sharing. Very poor fare, and I spent the hours between 10pm and 3am being violently ill. Draw your own conclusions. Avoid at all costs.

have never had a bad meal in the many years I have been coming to Dalyan - Husseyin is always friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back again next month. I know there have been some issues with staff in the past but I know Husseyin has worked very hard to sort this out and can't wait to be back in Dalyan again.

We only went there for a drink one afternoon and experienced some very childish, bad behaviour from some of the waiters and their friends - perhaps because we were a group of women. Very welcoming and not pushy like some of the Dalyan restaurants.Service was excellent, they even called the Doctor for us when we asked where to find one for my husbands ear infection.Ate here several times and food was excellent and always served within a reasonable time.When I requested a dessert that they did not offer, they went to a different restaurant to get it for me at no extra cost.
