Pre-Teen - Healthy Relationships Workshop
Park Board Events
Location: Riley Park Community Centre
As your child grows up, your relationship changes. As a pre-teen, your child may seem to be so young and so old at the same time. They are exploring their independence and new social relationships while looking to you to tuck them in bed at night. Fashion, media, music, body image, peers, and different ideas and actions seem to be having greater influence and parents often wonder where their influence has gone. Underneath it all, your child is still young and needs your guidance and protection. Explore ways to remain close with your children while also allowing them to grow and be independent. Knowing that their parents are there to provide support, values and knowledge as they face the changing times of adolescence provides the foundation children need, even if they don't let you know they appreciate it at the time. Please register early to avoid disappointment. Cost: $30/ 2 sessions
