Building and Development

Permit and Licence Application Forms

Development Permits - will determine if your building ideas are suitable for your neighbourhood with respect to zoning.

Building Permits - needed for any new building, or for changes to a building, to ensure that the building is safe and complies with the City’s Building By-law.

Occupancy Permits - required when the new or renovated buildings are ready to be lived in.

Plumbing Permits - needed when new water pipes are installed in any building, new or old.

Gas Permits - needed when new gas pipes are installed in any building, new or old.

Electrical Permits - needed when electrical wiring is installed in any building, new or old.

Permit Fee Schedule (PDF) - includes Zoning and Development, Subdivision, Building, Plumbing, Building Grades, Electrical, Secondary Suites, Gas Fitting, Sign, Tree and some Miscellaneous fees
