    Alaska Adventures is a specialty fishing and Adventure travel company with specialty equipment, From the first moment you arrive in King Salmon and are Picked up at the airport in our 15 passenger van and taken to the meticulously maintained Dehavilland beaver float planes on the river for the 30 minute flight to camp you will be amazed, owner/Chief Pilot Van Hartley take better care of his fleet of Airplanes than most people do with there cars. The Pilots are all professional commercial-instrument rated pilots with many years flying in remote Alaska.

We have jetboats from 16-18ft in length with swivel padded seats and Shallow draft Dependable Yamaha Jet drives ranging from 40hp-150hp.

Once You Arrive

    Once you arrive at the main lodge or one our wilderness Camps you will be met and greeted by a camp manager to show you around. The main lodge located on the upper Alagnak River is equipped with 6 Custom jetboats from 16-18ft in length with swivel padded seats and Shallow draft Dependable Yamaha Jet drives ranging from 40hp-150hp, We also operate 2 - 21 ft inboard Jetboats with 300hp Chevy inboard engines these larger faster boats are utilized for transporting groups of fisherman to our overnight spike camps or to the lakes for a day of adventure fishing or bear viewing and sight seeing, these boats have comfortable seating for 6 and fully enclosed windshields and are very comfortable to ride in for longer trips in all weather conditions

Much of the salmon fishing done in Alaska is with conventional spin fishing gear to include level wind reels and medium heavy action rods spooled with 20-30lb test.

Alaska Fishing X-treme Trips

    If on one of our X-treme trips you will be outfitted with the best all-weather bomb Shelter 10x10 tents, cots with air mattresses, and cooking gear and food plus a portable solar powered electric fence kit to put around your camp at night, If rafting we have Achilles 14ft whitewater raft with rowing frames complete with cargo tie downs and dry bag storage for all equipment.

Four Million Salmon

    With over 4 million salmon returning to the Alagnak river each year we have to offer high quality fishing equipment and each guide is equipped with a complete set of his own fishing gear for each specialty type of fishing from 7wt Orvis-Sage fly rods for Trout to 10 wt Salmon rods with anti reverse reels or Back trolling and spinning gear for King Salmon fishing at tide water, we have it all along with all the specialty flies spinners and tackle needed for any of our trips in case you need to borrow something. Each guest is responsible for his or own gear and fishing equipment except on our Halibut charters everything is included. But the lodge is fully outfitted with anything you might need to borrow while on a trip with us at no charge. We don't sell equipment or tackle we loan it to you so each guest has the best opportunity to fish with top of the line equipment and have a positive experience on your Alaska Adventure fishing trip. We feel high quality equipment is a must and it can make or break your trip to Alaska.
