Located at Aviation House, Gatwick, contains a collection of books, reports, directories, statistics, videos, and periodicals on most aspects of civil aviation and related subjects.

Reference Facilities
The Library is open to members of the public Monday to Friday from 09.30 to 16.30 (10.00 to 16.30 on the first Wednesday of the month) who are welcome to use the Library for reference purposes. A photocopier and microfilm/microfiche reader printers are available for public use. Charges are payable for copies and microform printouts.

Short information enquiries will be answered where possible but we regret that we are unable to undertake research for members of the public.

CAA Publications
The Library and Information Centre maintains a complete collection of all current CAA publications. An extensive reference archive of previously issued CAA publications is also held. CAA publications may also be purchased from The Stationery Office (TSO). A collection of Reports issued by CAA, NASA, FAA and other organisations is held. UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) reports and bulletins are kept along with selected foreign accident reports. New reports are included in the Library Bulletin, and all reports are in the Library database.

Library Catalogue
The Catalogue database gives information on publications held by the LIC. It is possible to search by author, title, subject, report number, key words etc. A standard level of searching is available, which is menu driven and offers on-screen help. Access to the catalogue is available via terminals in the CAA Library and Information Centre.

Periodicals and Newspapers
A large collection of periodicals relevant to the Authority’s activities are held in the LIC, some of which are available for reference.

Government Publications
The LIC holds a complete collection of bound volumes of Acts of Parliament and Statutory Instruments. In addition we have a wide range of the more recent aviation related Acts and Statutory Instruments, as well as Command Papers, House of Commons and Lords Papers and various other publications.

ICAO Publications
Documents, Circulars and Annexes are held in the Library. A collection of ICAO statistics is also available for reference.
