FXTrade - Login TroubleshootingAre you using the right login page?To login to your currency trading game account (FXGame), use: FXGame Login Page To login to your real currency trading account (FXTrade), use: FXTrade Login Page Forgot your password?Please note that your username and password are case sensitive. You can retrieve your password by using either your email address or your username. Simply enter this information into the FXTrade or FXGame password retrieval form and your login information will be emailed to you. Does your computer meet the technical requirements?Please take a moment to look at our technical requirements page to ensure that your system is compatible with the FXTrade Platform. Microsoft Windows users can visit Windows Update to update their Web Browser and Operating System. Apple MacOS X users can use the Software Update feature in the System Preferences panel. Is Javascript enabled?When you log in to the OANDA FXTrade Platform, a small loading window should appear in order to launch the FXtrade Platform. This loading window requires that Javascript be enabled for it to appear. If a small window does not appear when you click the link below, you will need to enable Javascript within your browser and/or configure your popup blocking software to allow popups from the FXTrade website. Please rest assured that our popup does not contain any advertising. Can you access secure pages?Your login to the FXTrade platform is protected by industry-standary 128-bit SSL encryption. When you click on the test link, your browser will attempt to open an SSL protected page. If you don't see a "Congratulations" message within a few moments, you will need to enable 128-bit SSL encryption in your browser. Is Java installed?In order to allow our customers to trade from anywhere in the world the FXTrade platform is implemented entirely using Java. The link below should open a very simple Java clock applet. If you see a "broken link" image, or gray box, you will need to enable or install Java applets on your computer. Does the OANDA Java Test Applet work?The OANDA Java Test Applet tests your computer for basic Java support and connectivity to our servers. If tests 2, 3, 4, and 5 all fail then it is likely that you are behind a firewall that is blocking port 80, or the network connection to the server is severely degraded. If you are certain that your system should be able to connect please copy the contents of the Test Applet window and send them to technical support. (Please note that it is OK for tests #2 and #4 to fail if tests #3 and #5 pass) Have you cleared your cache? Rebooted?One of the most common problems our users experience is that their Java Cache has become corrupted. Please follow our instructions on how to clear your cache. Please don't forget to close all of your browser windows once you have done that. If clearing your cache does not solve the problem, please reboot your computer before proceeding to the next step to allow your system to be in a 'clean' state. Does the FXTrade loading bar appear?After clearing your cache and rebooting your system, try logging in to the FXTrade (or FXGame) server one more time. Once the Platform is downloaded, a loading bar should appear and count up to 100%. If the loading bar remains a gray box or stops before the 100% mark, please contact technical support. In order to facilitate a prompt response from our support team, try to provide as much information as you can. Please include the contents of your Java Console if possible. |
