In the summer of 2006, PERIMETER introduces a unique new sightseeing product to Vancouver Island. The only FULLY ESCORTED day tour to Victoria, our new Oceans and Trails Tour, takes you ‘off the beaten track’ along quiet rural trails and peaceful seaside drives.

Join the only Day Tour to Victoria and Vancouver Island that returns via a different route than your trip over. Enroute we’ll take in world famous ‘The Butchart Gardens’, we’ll complete a short City Tour of Victoria including the Inner Harbour, Government Street and the Oceanside drive around the St. James district. Headed up-island you will savour the spectacular views of Tod Inlet from the top of the Malahat Highway. We’ll stop at the undiscovered fishing village of Cowichan Bay, where you will delight in a quick tour of the local ‘Wooden Boat Museum’. We’ll drive through Chemainus, which is known worldwide for the 37 murals painted on the outside walls of its stores, shops and buildings. Then we meander north along the ‘Old Island Highway’ past unspoiled seaside beaches and villages.

We have include a float plane option to return to Vancouver from Nanaimo, for those who need to get back to Vancouver for an early dinner, or for those who want a ‘birds eye view’ of BC’s rugged coastal living. We’ll drop you in Nanaimo at Harbour Air’s downtown float dock in the inner harbour, where you’ll board your float plane for a ½ hour crossing of the Georgia Straight before dropping into Vancouver’s downtown harbour.

For the rest of us, our day will end with a BC Ferries crossing from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay and a drive through West Vancouver. With the sun setting behind Vancouver Island, we’ll cross the Lion’s Gate Suspension Bridge and bid you a fond farewell back at your hotel.

Take the extra time you deserve, to enjoy our optional overnight package in Victoria. This package includes hotel accommodation at the Chateau Victoria and a Grand City Tour on board a vintage London Double Decker Bus. You’ll have the afternoon to explore the many attractions around Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Don’t miss the spectacular Royal BC Museum. The following morning is at your leisure before you depart on your Gray Line Grand City Tour, which operates every ½ hour from the Inner Harbour.
