Welcome

Welcome to the Program in Biological Sciences!

The science of biology is the study of living organisms at all levels of complexity and in all their diversity. The baccalaureate degree in biology offered by Weinberg College through the Program in Biological Sciences is the Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. The Program of Biological Sciences (PBS) draws particularly on two departments: the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology (BMBCB) and the Department of Neurobiology and Physiology (NBP).

We are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the new master’s degree program in plant biology and conservation which is jointly offered by Northwestern University and the Chicago Botanic Garden. This is a unique program and will prepare students to lead critical efforts to save plant species from extinction.
