The Hadley Centre has issued a number of short reports intended
for a wide readership. Some of them are on the web but all are available
in print from the Hadley Centre. They include:

A scoping study on the impacts of
climate change on the UK energy industry
These Hadley Centre reports are the result of a landmark collaboration
between E.ON UK, EDF Energy, National Grid and the Met Office
Hadley Centre's world-leading climate scientists in a pioneering
new study to scope the impacts of climate change on th UK energy
industry.

Climate change and the greenhouse
effect
- a briefing from the Hadley Centre
This Hadley Centre briefing is a collection of 60 slides with
notes, containing up-to-date knowledge of the state of the climate
and projections for the future. The publication is accompanied
by a CD-based PowerPoint presentation of the 60 slides. The CD,
along with a paper copy of the briefing, can be obtained free
of charge by contacting the Customer
Centre.

Stabilising climate to avoid
dangerous climate change
- a summary of relevant research at the Hadley Centre
This report shows possible results of rapid changes in components
of the climate system, and discusses some of the uncertainties
in deducing tolerable concentrations and emissions and how
these might be managed.

Climate change, rivers and rainfall
Recent research on climate change science from the Hadley
Centre
December 2005
In this Hadley Centre report we describe some of
the most recent climate change research. This year, our
focus is on the water cycle, which plays a key role in the
impact of climate change on the human and natural environment.

Uncertainty, risk and dangerous
climate change
Recent research on climate change science from the Hadley
Centre
December 2004
This new Hadley Centre report addresses the issue of uncertainty
in climate model predictions. It also discusses several
aspects of dangerous climate change, and the state of the
climate during 2003 and 2004.

Climate change observations
and predictions:
Recent research on climate change science from the Hadley
Centre, December 2003
This report attempts to answer three important questions:
Is the climate changing? What has caused the climate to
change? And how much do we expect the climate to change
in future?

Stabilisation and commitment
to future climate change:
scientific results from the Hadley Centre, October 2002
The ultimate objective of the UN framework convention on
climate change (UNFCCC) is to stabilise atmospheric concentrations
of greenhouse gases 'at a level that would prevent dangerous
anthropogenic (human-induced) interference with the climate
system'. In this report, we focus on some of the scientific
issues associated with this aim.

The Hadley Centre regional climate
modelling system:
PRECIS update 2002
The Hadley Centre has developed a regional climate model
that can be run on a PC and can be applied easily to any
area of the globe to generate detailed climate-change predictions.
The intention is to make this modelling system, PRECIS (Providing
Regional Climates for Impacts Studies), freely available
to groups of developing countries so that they can develop
climate-change scenarios at national centres of expertise.
This new brochure contains an updated description of PRECIS,
together with additional examples of its use.
