These delicious silver salmon fillets and steaks are known for being lean and mildly flavored with a delicate textured meat that flakes to the touch of a fork.

Because of their lower cost they are great for the needs of large groups or neighborhood backyard barbecues.

These coho salmon are wild and natural, being caught within the pure and pristine waters of Alaska. These premium silver salmon are delivered to us, literally, within hours after they have been caught. They are well cared for from catch to market.

Serving Sizes

When serving salmon fillets, about 1/3 to 1/2 pound per person is a good portion size. Salmon with higher oil content is often more rich and a smaller portion may be necessary.

Storing and Thawing

To thaw flash-frozen our Coho salmon fillets, place them in refrigerator for a day. Because they are vacuum-sealed you can also run cold water over sealed fillets to speed up the thawing process. Quickly rinse salmon prior to preparing it. Left-over salmon should be refrigerated and used within a couple of days.

Packaging and Portion Sizes

Our Coho salmon fillets are flash-frozen and individually vacuum-sealed for your convenience. They can be stored in your freezer for several months. Fillets are boneless, and range from 1/3 to 1 lb. packages . Full-size fillets are often available during the summer months as well.

Boneless Fillets - Pin Bone Out

Fillets are deboned with our pinbone machine, then examined by trained inspectors.  We do our best to remove all bones, "so that you don't have to". However, it is possible that we could miss a bone.

Most of our Coho salmon are caught within the Cook Inlet. The Cook Inlet is a rather large body of water that stretches up into Alaska. It was first discovered by Captain James Cook, the famous British explorer. It's east banks are bordered by the Kenai Peninsula where dozens of fishing ports are located from Homer to Anchorage. There are many fishing districts throughout this region with all five types of salmon running through the inlet.
