Rogue River Gold Rey Dam Fish Count 1-800-472-2434 Elk River Hatchery Fishing Report 541-332-7025 | ||
Fishing Report is "Lots of fishing on the Rogue River" 10/8/06 A short updated Rogue River fishing report on 1/2 pounder fly fishing on Lower Rogue. Two rods husband and wife started fishing on a trip with us at 9:30 am and fished until they were tired at 4:30 pm, landed 45 1/2 pounders 1.5 to 3 pounds each. Salmon are still here with Silvers the biggest part of the catch. We did have a 55# monster Chinook in the net today and have the hooks intangle in the net and the Big Guy just slowly swam away. Alex the fisherman from New Brunswick said, this was the best fishing trip of my life. Alex is 65 years young. Your October Rogue River Fishing Report recommends targeting Summer Steelhead Fly Fishing through out the river. All areas are producing great catches of Summer Steelhead. Silver Salmon head the salmon catch with a mix of bright Kings in the Lower Rogue at Gold Beach. We had one guide boat on the 3rd have 4 Silvers 7 to 12 pounds on at once and another guide boat with a triple. Don't expect this kind of hook ups but fishing is quite good, with some boats netting 10 fish or more per day! Check back for your latest Oregon Fishing Report. We have dates open for some of our boats, call 1-800-348-4138 to reserve your seats. |
