| Robert Schick Named Fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers |

(Houston) Nov. 11, 2005 — International law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP is pleased to announce that Robert M. Schick, a partner in the firm's Houston office, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship is extended by invitation only to trial lawyers with at least 15 years of experience who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice. Membership in the College cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are approximately 5,500 members in the United States and Canada. Schick, who joined Vinson & Elkins in 1981, has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of products liability, environmental and toxic tort litigation. He has tried more than 30 cases to a verdict, and is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in civil trial law and personal injury trial law. A formidable advocate at both the trial and appellate levels, Schick's practice has taken him to the courts of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Florida, Washington, and Oregon, in addition to those throughout the state of Texas. He is a 1976 graduate of Princeton University and received his J.D. from the University of Houston in 1981.
