"Attorney General Opinion Interprets Chapter 176"
Public Finance E-Lert, August 4, 2006

Below is a link to the recent Attorney General opinion interpreting chapter 176 of the Local Government Code relating to disclosure of conflicts of interest. While we are still analyzing the impact of this opinion, based on our initial review, it is possible that legislative amendments may be needed to cure certain ambiguities affecting public entities and the consultants that serve them.  Please don't hesitate to contact any public finance attorney at the firm if you have any questions or concerns. http://www.oag.state.tx.us/opinions/op50abbott/ga-0446.htm.
