Please read What do I need? and any other relevant information on these pages before you phone the Helpdesk.
If you have a problem with the service you can phone our Helpdesk on 0845 601 8040 (local rate).
For customers of The Pension Service calling from an international number, the number to call is (0044) 191 218 7777.
Lines are open:
08:00 – 21:00 weekdays
08:00 – 16:00 weekends
The Helpdesk is closed on public and bank holidays in Great Britain.
It will help us if you have your National Insurance (NI) number ready.
If you have a problem with speech or hearing and use a textphone ring 0845 601 8039 (local rate).  If you do not have your own textphone system, they are available in some libraries and in Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB).
To make sure we give a good service to our customers, we need to monitor some of our calls.  If you phone us but do not want your call monitored, please tell us straight away.
If your first language is not English, we can provide a telephone interpreting service on request.
Customers with a Building Society Account
If you would like your payment paid into a Building Society account you will be asked for your roll number. If you do not know this please obtain it from your Building Society; if you do not have a roll number please type in ‘None’.
