My son Alex and I had an outstanding fishing experience with Ken and Dallas two weeks ago.  We plied the Sac that day with intensity and determination.  For the day we saw only one small jack salmon in anyone else's bag.  About two in the afternoon we hooked onto a 30 pound buck.  Alex had a great time fighting the fish and landed it after about 20 minutes.  We have some great pics of the Pirate, Dallas, and Alex...plus a great pic of me holding the salmon.  [Even though I didn't do anything but snap the camera!!!].

This was actually my second time with the Pirate...In June I traveled with Rudy and John...  Then we caught bass and shad... Again an outstanding experience with the Pirate and Dallas.

Without any question, we will all be back!

My son Nicky and I went out with Ken for four days on the Sac.  If we had had any more fun, we would have been arrested!!  Both caught fish when almost nobody else on the river was -- we're coming back again for the best fishing, guiding and companionship ever -- if you have a kid who likes fishing, this is the guy.  Nicky hasn't stopped talking about the Pirate.  Now we're dreaming of sturgeon...

My son, David and I have fished with Ken and Dallas five times over the past four years.   Ken and Dallas have a wonderful realtionship.  Almost like competing father and son.  Who is the better guide?  Depends on who you listen to.  We find that the best guide is the one we are with that day.

However, they both would be lost without Vickie who keeps the whole operation organized and operating.  She is the one who puts it all together, the guys would be still running around in their underware without her.

We have always brought home a nice load of fish each time we came up.  I have hired a umer of guides over the years but these people are the best!!

Great trip! My friend Frank and I went sturgeon fishing late in the season and the Pirate ( Ken) was still able to put us on the bite!! Amazing, we landed a 35# and
a  65#. This was my first time fishing for sturgeon. I would definitely recommend Ken's service to anyone looking to catch fish. Arhggggg! Really fun guide.

Harrrrghhhhh Ahoy Thar Mateys!
Henry Lum and I fished for two days with the big scallywag on Oct 28 and 29.  We each limited out both days.  We caught two 35lbs and two 30lbs.  Anything less and someone walks the plank into the secret school of pirahnasalmonfish!

Our two ice chest barely made weight limit with the airlines.  We had 100 lbs of fresh Salmon filets!  What a nice problem to have.

It was great to fish with my pirate friend Ken Hoffman.
Yo Ho to you all.

Hey everybody,

Just had to drop a note to tell you how much fun I had this last weekend.  My brother-in-law John and I teamed up on Dallas' boat and limited out by noon.  John got the biggest fish, about 30 lbs.  It was enormous.  We came home with loads of fish.

Dallas was great.  He kept us laughing and his knowledge of fishing is unbelievable.  You can't beat good company and great fishing.

Thanks guys,
Pete
