More Blog Monetizing Options

Chitika is a very innovative contextual advertising programme because it can serve very detailed advertisements. For example, on your technological gadget blog, Chitika will show advertisements for tech gadgets such as iPods. The way they show it is in different tabs: one for "Best deals", another for "details", another for "reviews" and so on. This way, it is more of an informational section for your visitor rather than an advertisement, and naturally the click-through will be higher.

Managing Multiple Chitika eMinimalls Ads in WordPress

So, it shouldn't be surprising to find bloggers who want to place multiple Chitika ads on the same page - all of which targeted via the same keywords to maximize context. But if you use the default approach of the various Chitika plugins available for WordPress (i.e. in-post tags like [eminimall]), you will have to enter keywords manually for each ad you place within the post (unlike for contextual ads like AdSense which do not suffer from this problem).

Chitika have just gone public with a new feature - Shoplincs - a CPC (cost per click) branded shop that you can host on your own domain and attatch to your blog/site. Over the last couple of weeks I've been fortunate enough to be a part of a small (very small from what I can tell) beta test of ShopLinc and now that it's public can tell you a little about it.

For example, Chitika allows you to control almost everything about advertisements displayed on website. Let's say you have website about Apple iPod. Chitika Optimization Tip - Turn Keywords Into Channels

If you use Chitika with Google Adsense, then you have to use Chitika in non-context sensitive mode (the default) in order to comply with the Adsense terms of service. So this means you have to pick your own keywords, which can be tricky...especially if you run a site that isn't product-oriented like I do and where the best-performing keywords aren't obvious at all.

Running Chitika

If you are a frequent visitor to Geekzone then you probably have noticed a new style of ads we are running as defaults for our Tribal Fusion network ads. These are from Chitika and work really well for some sites. The format we are using here is the eMiniMalls (they also have BlogContext and RealContext formats), and they can target the pages' contents, pretty much like Google AdSense. To prevent conflict with the Google AdSense TOS, we are actually not using the contextual side of this ads, and also disabling the search tab.

Chitika eMiniMalls - How Much Money Do they Earn Me?

There has been a lot of positive feedback so far from those who I've referred over to the program with some people earning some significant money from it so far ... The reason I want to talk about this is simply because I really believe in this ad system - as you'll see from the figures below - it's had a pretty amazing impact upon my earnings and I'd like readers here to have the full picture of what the potential to earn money with it is ... I personally have reason to be pretty excited about eMiniMalls. If these numbers continue they will more than double my daily earnings and taken them to a level that is over $1000 per day.

Chitika eMiniMalls Review

Over the past few weeks I've been a part of a beta testing program of a new ad format for Chitika's eMiniMalls.

They are a new type of ad that many of you will find quite beneficial for your blogs - I know I have. You've probably seen them around. They come in a range of sizes but usually have a picture of a product and then some tabs running across the top that say 'Description', 'Best Deals', 'Reviews' and 'Search'.
