Fishing Report:


Sabine Lake fishing has been great for the past 2 weeks as the brown shrimp are still moving in the system.

We now are catching speckle trout to 4 lbs under the birds when the wind will let us fishing the north end of sabine. also more shad have been mixed in with the shrimp the best bite is during the morning we are also fishing the mussel flats and shell with 1/16 jig head Morning glory has been the best plastic.

Also red shad are catching nice trout along the louisiana shore line. Mullet are showing up in good numbers on the flats and the bigger trout are being caught on slow sinking baits up to 8lbs . Flounder are showing up there too. The flounder bite is getting better but has not quite got there yet.

We are still catching a lot of small fish. I am checking every day and I will post a report on the flounder run and it will start any day now. Redfish are showing up better each day with good number mixed in with the speckle trout under the brids and on the louisiana shoreline.

Sabine pass jetties fishing has been good for drum sheephead and big redfish offshore fishing has been tough wind wind and more wind Snapper season opens{ April 21} We are going to have a great spring snapper season and flounder Run. Please book you trips for inshore - offshore fishing now.
