  • What does the IMC Messenger do »

    The instant messenger included with IMConferencing enables you to add contacts and colleagues within the IM network. Organize them into groups for communication via instant messaging and instant web conferences with either an individual or group of contacts online.
     

    Where does the IMC Messenger go when I minimize it »

    The messenger will minimize and remain running in your systems tray to the bottom right of your PC screen near your clock. It shows as a small icon with one blue and one grey “buddy” character grouped together. When you roll your mouse over it, you will see IMC LiveOffice. Double click on this icon to open the messenger.
     

    How do I adjust my messenger settings »

    Once you are logged into the messenger with your login and password, you can select Actions / Options and adjust your preferences and presence settings as desired.
     

    How do I add contacts »

    Once you are logged into the messenger with your login and password, you can select Actions / Add Contact / elect to search by last name or email address / enter value for search / select Next / highlight the nickname of the user you wish to add and select Next / set preferences and select OK.
     

    What is presence »

    Presence refers to other instant message contact’s ability to see your online status and availability for instant message and web conference communications.
     

    How do I instant message with a contact online »

    Once logged into the messenger with your login and password, you can instant message with online contacts identified in blue. Simply double click on your contact and the instant message window will open. Type your message in the lower input box and strike enter from your keyboard.
     

    Can I instant message with a group »

    Yes. To instant message or web conference with a group of contacts, right-click on the group name and select the desired function: Start Chat or Start Meeting.
     

    Can I launch IMConferencing from the messenger »

    Yes. To launch a web conferencing session for online meeting, right-click on the desired contact or group and select Start Meeting. From an open instant message chat, the originator of chat can select Start Meeting from the top of the chat window for an instant online meeting with access to all web conferencing features.
