Stable Growth and Recent Reverse Split --- CIEND

Ciena Corporation supplies communications networking equipment, software, and services to telecommunications service providers, cable operators, governments, and enterprises.

Its old symbol was CIEN. It had a reverse 1:7 split on 9/25/06.

Its closing price, as of 10/11/06, is $24.80. It is good for short and long-term investors.

My suggestion: Buy (7.5)

The Tech Stocks Will Lead...

Today is the Fed meeting day. People are waiting for the news whether there will be another interest rate rising.

The economic data does not support such an increase. There is a little ground for Fed to do it to block the economy’s further movement. Let’s say: I don’t believe the Fed will increase the rate today.

The market should be cheered when Fed halt the rate raising.

I suggest you take action this morning before the Fed releasing their decision. In general, the Tech stock would move higher by such news, so please consider the take a long position on your lead and second stock in the tech sectors.

Review What on Your Radar

For the week, the Dow dropped 0.63 percent, the SP was off 0.92 percent, and the Nasdaq declined 1.25 percent.

After the Labor Day, the expected up did not come. Even the dropping oil price did not help, the market returned to another directionless circle.

The sword of raising interest from Fed is on top of the market again. This fear has driven the market for too long! It seems the clouds would stay here for more time also. The technical data shows unclear again, with a little bit of negative.

Practically, I would not follow and take long when the market is up; I would still look for chance when the market is down. September is the last month of third quarter. There is an up at its end most of time. I would prepare and collect my bullets for it.
