Is the Ferry On Time?

On average, about 85 per cent of all BC Ferries’ sailings either leave on time or within 10 minutes of schedule.  With nearly 179,000 dockings a year connecting hundreds of nautical miles of coastline, that’s a fairly good average. 

However, BC Ferries does experience sailings that are late and our customers have asked us why. In fact, one of the comments we often hear is how the ferries are always late.
