There is something going on in The Brunswick Islands all year long. Below is a listing of our major Annual Events. Please make sure you check our Calendar of Events (listed on the menu to the left) for exact dates and information on each event.
Brunswick Islands Home & Garden Show
The Brunswick Islands Home & Garden Show is a great way to shop the wears and services of area merchants and business for the needs of your home and family. Nearly one hundred businesses are expected to participate in the Home & Garden Show this year in March.
A Day at the Docks
Holden Beach celebrates its heritage during this annual waterfront festival each April. Charter fishing boats give boat tours of the area and Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel annual boat inspections.
North Carolina Festival by the Sea
Each October, this festival on the streets of Holden Beach features arts and crafts, sand castle building contest, kite flying and a horseshoe competition.
North Carolina Fourth of July Festival
This all American holiday has been celebrated in grand style in Southport for over 200 years. People come from all around the South to attend this festival. Each year, about 500, 000 people attend the naturalization ceremony, arts and crafts fair, parade, concerts, and 5K run/walk.

South Brunswick Islands King Classic
Cash prizes for anglers catching the largest king mackerel. Additional prizes for lady angler and junior angler. One day fishing each Labor Day weekend. More information on this Tournament is listed in the drop down menu above.
The North Carolina Oyster Festival
The premier oyster roast in the state, this festival includes many activities and events for kids and adults. Live entertainment, arts and crafts fair, oyster shucking contests, surf contests, and road race attract about 30,000 people to the annual event the third weekend of October.
