Internet Poker Companies Tribeca and Tain Sign Merger Agreement
In a merger agreement between online poker companies, Tribeca Tables and Tain, Tain poker companies and brands, including all Expekt poker customers, will switch to the Tribeca platform. The agreement will make Tain a part of the Tribeca network that also includes other major online poker companies such as Golden Palace, Paddy Power, and Victor Chandler.
According to a recently released statement regarding the merger, the agreement involves only the poker sites; Tain’s largest sites, Expekt and Parbet, will join the Tribeca network but Tain’s parent company Expekt will continue operating its European-focused sportsbook and casino platforms.
Steve Cook, the European managing director at Tribeca, said: “We have been working for some time to reach into the lucrative Scandinavian poker markets. Signing with Tain and bringing on board Expekt.com has allowed Tribeca to take a firm foothold in those countries. We are very pleased to complete a significant deal with Tain”.
Tribeca said as a result of the merger Tain’s poker partners will now be able to take advantage of the higher liquidity that both companies agree is the single most important component for achieving long term competitive online poker.
Tain’s chief executive, Erik Ahlberg said: “This manifests a natural next step in our effort of building a world class poker offering. We will now be able to welcome our customers into one of the strongest networks in the world, positioned to lead the coming phase of consolidation.”
