OVERVIEW
Enjoy Vancouver fish charters and deep sea-fishing from Sewell’s in Horseshoe Bay where the Salmon fishing is excellent! On average chartering from Sewell's Marina means 15 to 20 minutes running time to the fishing grounds. Horseshoe Bay is uniquely located in the center of most of the prime fishing spots. Our boats and guides can be off the Fraser River, trolling the Capilano, sounding the Straight of Georgia or in our near-by Hole in the Wall and Hutt Island. Our experienced skipper-guides know all the secret spots and can get you there fast. Salmon Fishing Derbies have taken place at Sewell's Marina for over 70 years!

Many of our guides have being associated with Sewell's Marina for over twenty years. 
The best time to fish is anytime! The five salmon species; Chinook (King), Coho (Silvers), Pinks, Chum and Sockeye are all frequenting the Straight of Georgia and Howe Sound. The Chinook Squamish River run has proven to be strong every year. These salmon are in the area longer this year because of the colder temperatures which is also attracting the herring and anchovies of which the salmon feed upon. This past winter, spring and summer we have tipped the scales with Chinook (King) reaching over 25 pounds. The Sockeye and Coho migration to the river mouths peaks in August with good fishing from July through late September. There is a strong Pink salmon migration to both the Squamish and Fraser River peaking during August and September.
Most fishing spots are in the protected waters of Howe Sound which provide comfortable fishing in all weather.

When and Where to fish ... According to our guides - all of the time! Chinook or King salmon are found year-round in our local hot spots in Howe Sound. Coho, Sockeye, Pink and Chum salmon migrate and feed in the local area, from May to October.
