Rick and Brenda Sherman caught 1 mahi 3 shibi and 2 aku for a real fun day of fishing
W got underway at 5:30 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a big shibi hit on the center but it just slamed it and was gone. So we baited and eventually we got a small shibi, then Scot got a big shibi on bait and Rick spent the next 30 minutes or so working hard on this 55 pounder on 80 pound test he did great. Then we jigged and caught an aku and ran it live. While jigging we got another big shibi on and got it too. On our way in we got a nice mahi in the blind. These folks were great. Aloha Capt Rusty

Krista Dixon, Jeff Ward and Mark Petty caught one 180 pound marlin and 6 shibi and 2 aku for a great day
We got going at 5:30 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. When we got there we baited and got 2 small shibi right a way. Then we had a big shibi on light line break line, and we got a few more small shibi. Then we jigged and caught an aku and ran it live, an hour later it was chased by a marlin and Scot dropped our aku back and it swallowed it as far as it could, it ended up stuck in it's throat, so it never did jump. Jeff was first in the chair and got it about half way in and then let Mark take over, very sportsmans like. This fish came up nice and easy at gaff with that aku sticking out of it's mouth, must have made it hard to beathe, we like it that way, saves on the body parts. Then we caught 1 more aku and ran it live, nothing came to eat this one. These guys did great today on all these fish, good going guys. Back in the harbor Krista and Jeff were bold enough to eat shibi eyeballs gladly, I like it. Aloha Capt Rusty

Lois Polk, Bob Polk, Ruthie Polk, Jeanne Hurt and John Hurt caught 1 aku and 1 aha aha or needelfish today
We set out at 5:30 on this day of 25 kph trades going to the west side to hide from the wind. In the twilight zone we saw a few sharks. We got our one aku right around the point then went on down to outside makaha, the water was so nice, as always. No big slams so we got to the sallows and bait and take lots of hits but only hang on to one aha aha or stick fish, sharp needel like teeth. The coast line was all green from all the rains, the views were great. These folks did great today, I'm glad you all had fun. Aloha Capt Rusty

Shawn Blodgett, Tom Howard and Jason Stroh caught 7 shibi 2 mahi and 1 aku for a great day of fishing
We got underway at 5:30 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and got a big shibi and a big mahi on our first pass, then we got a few smaller shibi too. Then this marlin starts jumping, it is in the middle of 3 boats that are down jigging, we don't have it on and neither do any of the other boats at the bouy, it looks to be about a 150 pounder, and it is headed for our stern, after jumping for 50 yards it dives down 30 yards away, it was a great show while it lasted. Then we got a few more small shibi and one more big one, on light line these fish are a real workout, you can't horse them in, you have to play them just right, these guys did great playing these fish. On our way in we got a small mahi at 100 fathoms. In the harbor Shawn and Tom and I and a few friends all ate shibi eyeballs gladly. You guys did great today. Aloha Capt Rusty

Vicky and her brother David Lein caught 4 shibi 1 mahi and 2 aku for some fun today
We got going at 5:30 on this day of 10 kph winds going to my favorite buoy. On our way we baited up a small mahi. At the buoy we jigged and caught 2 aku and ran one live. Shortly after puting it out a marlin grabed it and jumped and came off, Scot dropped it back and it took off again and screamed some line and it jumped and came off again bummer. Then we jigged some more but could not get another aku to bite. We got a few shibi, so we ran a 12 pounder live. Then we baited and got 2 more shibi and lost a big one right at the boat. These folks did great today on all these fish, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Gary and Judith Johnstone, Wayne and Barb Hansen caught 10 mahi and 1 barracuda for a fun day
We got going at 5:30 on this day of 10 kph winds going to my favorite buoy. On the way we found some small mahi and got 8 of them on bait, that was fun. At the buoy we baited, but the birds were gone so were all the fish on the fathometer, so we set up and trolled outside. We had a marlin come in and hit 2 lures several times, but never did get the hook, bummer. Then we had a mahi hit on the ledge but it came off, then we got 2 more mahi just outside the harbor. Back at the dock only Gary was bold enough to eat 2 mahi eyeballs gladly. These folks did great today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty
