Cornwall is well noted for its history and folklore. Those visiting the town of Helston (also known as the "Home of The Furry Dance") will not be disappointed! Helston was an ancient market town and was first granted its charter in 1201. Two main streets intersect the town of Helston.

And just two miles from Helston is the bustling harbour village of Porthleven, with its friendly atmosphere and picturesque harbour. Porthleven is located on the route of the Coastal Path. There are interesting walks around the Porthleven area including Penrose Park, which has a large fresh water lake.
