The four-star Danubius Hotel Gellert was built in 1918, in the elegant secessionist style of the castles from the beginning of the century. It offers 89 single rooms, 132 double rooms and 13 suites, all of them have bathrooms and are equipped with color TV (international news channels), telephone and minibar; at request we can provide non-smoking rooms.

The Gellert Bath is built around the natural thermal water springs of Gellert Mountain and is perfect for recreation and regeneration. The spa and baths, swimming-pools and sauna are awaiting our guests free of charge; we offer wellness and fitness services including steambath, solarium, Thai massage and we even organize pool-side parties (for up to 1500 people) in the summer.

Gellert has 6 beautiful halls and a main hall suitable for all sorts of festive or official events, being able to host 10-200 people. At request we organize business dinners, conferences, symposiums, parties, ceremonies at professional level - we posess the modern technical equipment and decorations necessary to carry out any idea.

Wonderful city break at the Gellert

From the moment we arrived at the Gellert we recieved very professional service from all staff whatever their job, there was always a member of staff around and we felt really looked after. The hotel has a gracious feel about it. The food was excellent - a huge variety at Breakfast, and the Sunday Brunch is something that no-one should miss. Our room was comfortable and contained everything we needed. There were no coffee & tea facilities in the room but a very fine selection was available in the hotel tea rooms, where it was served most elegantly. And of course as guests we were able to use the hotel thermal spa baths etc. as often as we wished. The hotel is well placed for exploring , trams & buses very conveniently situated outside the Hotel or a porter will always get you a taxi and make sure that the driver knows where you want to go. Most of the staff speak some English. Value for money - excellent - and we can't wait to return.
