The celebration has been hurried however, as all company associates have to quickly return to their respective tasks as LaGarde continues to sign up new accounts anxious to improve their ebusiness practices and results.

Founded on November 1, 1996 by Bob and Laura LaGarde, the Company began developing its first e-commerce software package, StoreFront, in 1997. The product was quickly recognized by a Microsoft product team as the leading shopping cart plug-in for FrontPage and promoted to its user base worldwide.

 LaGarde has a history of leading the industry with innovations. LaGarde first introduced StoreFront as an Active Server Pages platform in 1998 when CGI scripts were the de-facto standard for dynamic web applications. StoreFront was also the first ecommerce plug-in for Microsoft FrontPage. In 1999 LaGarde was the first vendor to use remote data access technology to create a desktop client application for managing remote StoreFront web stores. In 2002 LaGarde was the first vendor to launch an ecommerce solution on Microsoft's .Net technology. And in 2005 LaGarde was the first licensed ecommerce software to implement and certify on Visa's Credit Card Security Program (CISP) standards. LaGarde is also leading the market in producing out of the box integrated solutions for Microsoft Dynamics, Sage MAS 90/200/500 ERP systems, Intuit Quickbooks, Microsoft RMS and Retail Pro point of sale solutions.
