FAQ's

Where is Sand Lake at?
Sand Lake ORV area is approximately 20 minutes south of Tillamook Oregon. Yahoo has a map.

What does it cost?
2 cans of food! That's it! Proceeds will benefit the Pacific City food bank.

What will the adults do all weekend?
We have tons scheduled! A raffle, games, follow the leader, group photo, RTI ramp and many many other things planned. To wet your appetite, order and watch the CD!

Is there anything for children to do?
Absolutely! SOB9 is a family event. We have kids games planned through out the weekend along with the fun and enjoyment of playing on the dunes. Bring the kids and make a sand castle!

What is Sand Lake ORV area like?
Sand lake is about 4 square miles of Silica. Two major bowls and lots of areas one can go up, down and in between. Most of the action takes place at the first bowl. Beginner sand dunners will have no problem getting adjusted to the area, you cant get lost!

What kind of facility is Sand Beach campground?
Sand Beach campground has running water, bathroom facilities, fire pits, and 101 camp spots. Each parking area for the camp spots usually can accommodate more than one rig and trailer. There is also 2 parking lots that you can camp in also.

Where do I camp?
Refer to the camping instructions on this web site.

I don't like to camp, now what do I do?
Pacific City is the closest town. A small coastal town that's big on accommodations. Very nice motels and hotels plus some of the finest micro-brew in the state. Please refer to the camping page for more details however, you will miss a lot of the fun that takes place out on the dunes :)

Does it cost to camp?
Yes, both the improved and unimproved camp areas as well as the parking lots have fees. These fees you are responsible for, not The Horde.

Who will be there?
Well, last year there was over 225 Broncos! All most all the major Bronco vendors and who knows... maybe a couple of goofy looking guys in Jack-in-the box hats. The goal this year is 300 Broncos, we all have friends that drive Broncos... bring them!

What's the weather like?
This is the Oregon coast so be prepared! In years past it has been sunny and warm. Nights dip down in the low 50's and on occasion it has been windy.

I have never driven on the sand, can my Bronco do it?
Without question! air your tires down to around 8-10 pounds and you can go anywhere. The beauty of this run is it doesn't matter what kind of bronco you have, all can cruise the area and have a great time.

Can I bring my Jeep?
No! We have a staff member that takes care of offending vehicles in a most unique manner.

I think that's about it... what if I have questions not answered here?
Easy! email thom@Broncofix.com. You can also email any of the B'Fix staff and they will help to.

Anything else?
Just this, it will be the time of your life. Its very laid back with absolutely no pressure to do anything. Relax and enjoy the worlds largest annual gathering of Early Broncos!
