The Winding Stairs Adventure
3 1/2 hour round trip leaving at 9:30am and 2:00pm, departing
daily in our extended custom Jeep® Wrangler with plexiglass
roof. Trips depart from Wildwater Rafting in the Nantahala Gorge.
Visit the old Buckner homestead, the Little Tennessee River, Tellico
Trout Farm, the Appalachian Trail, Queens Creek Lake, Winding
Stairs Road past waterfalls to the Nantahala River and on to watch
the action at Nantahala Falls. $50 adults /$35 children under
12, includes snack & drink

Enjoy this
7 hour trip combining the Great
Smoky Mountains Railway trip with a Jeep® tour. You'll
begin your trip in Bryson City, NC, with a 2 hour railroad excursion
over Fontana
Lake and into the
Nantahala Gorge. As you travel on the train, watch paddlers
challenge the rapids. At the top-of-the-line disembark from the
train and climb aboard our customized Jeep® for a personal
exploration up the mountain, past waterfalls and lakes, across
the Appalachian Trail and down along the Little Tennessee River
back to the Bryson City train depot. $86 adult/ $71 children
under 12, includes lunch

This 2-hour
tour takes you on a personal exploration up the mountain to some
of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Nantahala area.

40-80 lbs. are required to sit in the front passenger seat with
the airbag disengaged using a child booster seat. Children 80 lbs.
or older sit in the back using a lap seat belt. If there is more
than one child in the 40-80 lb. range, the second child will sit
in the back using a lap belt.

We will be traveling in a Jeep® Wrangler converted
vehicle, with an extended rear to accommodate 5 passengers and a clear
plexiglass canopy over the roof.
We recommend adventurers bring: jacket, hat, sunglasses, binoculars,
camera, and wear comfortable shoes for walking and weather appropriate
clothing.
Wildwater will provide a rain poncho, water and snack. We also carry
insect repellent, a first aid kit and a small cooler along with interpretive
books with maps and plant ID pictures.
Trip minimum: 2 people, Trip maximum: 6 people.
We recommend if riders experience motion sickness, that
they prepare in advance with the appropriate medication.
